Director of Operations
Adrian Dacanay is a “smooth operator” when it comes to optimizing and scaling insurance brokerage operations. His leadership encompasses a comprehensive background in broker management systems, compliance and regulation, project management, and business development. Currently serving as the Director of Operations at Ai Insurance Organization Inc., Adrian oversees the day-to-day operations of the brokerage, including vendor and insurance carrier relations, national regulatory licensing, filing and compliance; and oversight of both the Operations and Service teams. He excels in systems administration, with proficiency of a variety of applications and technology such as Google Workspace, Vertafore-SIG, Power Broker, Applied Rating Services, PolicyWorks, Sugar-Suite CRM, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pardot and telephony systems.
Prior to his role at Ai, Adrian co-founded and launched Tuque Inc., a start-up, tech-focused insurance brokerage. Here, he began his journey in brokerage operations, developing standard operating procedures and analyzing the tools and technology (or lack thereof) enabling brokers to succeed. It soon became apparent that his grasp of process and procedures, coupled with his deep interest in technology, would pave the path to his future success.
Adrian’s insurance journey began as a Project Manager and Broker Consultant for Eastern Canada at DAS, a niche legal expense insurer more commonly known today as ARAG. He played a pivotal role in onboarding and educating brokers to the legal expense product, developing group legal expense insurance programs, and spearheading the migration of their homegrown CRM and marketing systems to Salesforce.
