Awarded by the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) in 2022 at their Awards of Excellence gala, this award recognizes best-in-class customer service and business operations among insurance brokerages with 25 or fewer Insurance Brokers in Ontario.
IBAO ranked insurance brokerages in Ontario on how the brokerage improved internal workflows and adopted new business practices to achieve long-term growth (technology enhancements, internal efficiencies, staffing, recruitment); how the brokerage created a positive and vibrant office culture (performance management systems, employee training and development, staff empowerment, retention, working towards common goals); how the brokerage adopted tools and practices that appeal to changing consumer preferences and demographics (digital presence and processes, customer outreach, communication strategies, advertising, automation, charitable giving); and how the brokerage demonstrated strong operational performance (actions/strategies that create measurable internal efficiency gains, new customers, retention, growth percentage by policy/premium, overall profitability, financial stability).

IBC Top Insurance Employer
Our organization closed 2021 by being recognized as one of Canada’s Top Insurance Employers in the 26-100 employee category by Insurance Business Canada.
To find and recognize the best employers in the insurance industry, organizations were invited to
participate by explaining their various offerings and practices. Next, employees from nominated companies were asked to fill out an anonymous form evaluating their workplace on a number of metrics, including benefits, compensation, culture, employee development, and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
To be considered, each organization had to reach a minimum number of employee responses based on overall size. Organizations that achieved an 80% or greater average satisfaction rating from employees were named Top Insurance Employers for 2022.

IBC Fast Brokerages
Our organization was recently recognized as one of Canada’s Fast Brokerages in the 1-10 brokers category by Insurance Business Canada. Fast Brokerages are recognized for maintaining great momentum and achieving an average revenue growth of 20% or more in 2020 and 2021.
The companies named as Fast Brokerages are those that achieved more than 20% growth in revenue volume. This year, 27 brokerages made the final list.

ICTA Innovator of the Year
Insurance-Canada celebrates organizations in the Canadian Property and Casualty Insurance industry whose implementation and use of technology shows a significant impact on a process or group of processes used in the marketing, sale, processing and servicing of insurance in Canada.
The primary criterion for all awards is the positive impact that a specific technology or application of technology has had on business. The impact will be judged relative to the investment made. A small application may have a large relative impact, while a huge implementation may not have so great an impact.
Ai Insurance Organization was recognized for our integration of technology to reduce costs, improve service, or streamline processes; utilization of technology that enhances customer satisfaction; offering new or improved self-service functions; and leadership within the industry or a subset on the development of standards or practices for the utilization of technologies.

IBC 5-Star Brokerages - Ontario
Awarded by the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) in 2022, this award recognizes best-in-class customer service and business operations among insurance brokerages in Ontario.
To select Canada’s 5-Star Brokerages for 2021, Insurance Business Canada sourced feedback from insurance brokerages and their clients over a period of 15 weeks. IBC’s research team began by asking brokers and their clients across the country to nominate the brokerages they felt were most deserving of recognition. The team also spoke with leading risk managers in Canada, asking them to name the top brokerages they work with.
The in-depth information gathered enabled the research team to assign weighted values to each area of brokerage service. Winners were also judged based on the strength of their individual nominations. At the end of the research period, the brokerages that received the highest rankings in terms of work quality, specialist expertise and client service were named 5-Star Brokerages.

IBC Rising Star - Adrian Dacanay
Our Director of Operations, Adrian Dacanay was recognized by Insurance Business Canada in September of 2022 as one of the insurance industry’s Rising Stars for 2022.
Nominees had to be aged 35 or under (as of August 30, 2022) and be committed to a career in insurance with a clear passion for the industry. Nominees were asked about their current role, key achievements and career goals, as well as the contributions they’ve made to shaping the industry. Recommendations from managers and senior industry professionals were also taken into account. The final list of 46 Rising Stars was determined by an independent panel of industry leaders.

Wawanesa Trufla Technology Innovator of the Year
The award was presented to the brokerage who was making great strides in internal and external adoption and technology use. Ai Insurance Organization won this award for our combined Broker
Management System and Customer Relationship Management technology.
