Mohsen Salehi is a distinguished insurance and financial expert with over 43 years of experience in the industry. In 2009, he established VALID Insurance Services Inc. in Toronto, building upon his extensive 28-year career in insurance that began in Iran.
Mohsen’s journey in the insurance sector started in 1980 as a sales representative in both Property and Casualty and Life Insurance. Throughout his career, he has founded several prominent insurance service agencies and brokerage firms, including Karamadan Insurance Services, Konesh Afarin Insurance Services, and Pejvak Karamadan Brokerage. Karamadan and Konesh Afarin have earned reputations as industry leaders in the Iranian market, known for their exceptional consulting services, risk and portfolio management, and expertise in underwriting and claims services.
In 2003, Mohsen was among the founding shareholders of Iran’s first private insurance company, Karafarin Insurance Company, where he served as an advisor to the board of directors from 2004 to 2019. Mohsen’s approach involves tailoring solutions to each client’s unique values, goals, and lifestyle, with a focus on tax strategies and multigenerational estate planning for both individuals and businesses.
As a devoted insurance advisor, Mohsen takes pride in serving the fourth generation of his clients, demonstrating his commitment to building long-lasting relationships and providing exceptional service. His dedication to ongoing professional development ensures that he stays at the forefront of industry trends and best practices.
Mohsen’s expertise is further validated by his membership in the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) for 18 consecutive years. He has also achieved the prestigious Court of the Table and Top of the Table designations and holds the esteemed status of Lifetime Member.

Mohsen is a strong believer in giving back to the community and the industry equally. For over 27 years, he has been a founding member and the Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Emam-Ali Charity Foundation. The foundation’s mission is to build schools in underprivileged communities and focus on preventing poverty among children and youth.
Mohsen has also been deeply committed to insurance industry associations. For over a decade, from 1998 to 2009, he served as either the chairman or vice-president of the national or provincial association of insurance agents for Asia Insurance Company. His dedication to advancing the industry is further exemplified by his co-founding of Payam-e-Namayandeghan Bulletin, the first specialized insurance regular publication in Iran. As part of its editorial board, Mohsen worked to raise industry standards and quality.

Mohsen loves nature in its entirety. Since his early days in life, he has developed a strong passion for mountains, and together with his wife, they have raised their children to be nature lovers and mountaineers. When they moved to Canada, enjoying the splendid landscapes of Canada and Ontario became a significant part of their lifestyle. He enjoys daily cycling and hiking to maintain and improve his health and spirit. He is an active member of Bruce Trail Conservancy since 2016.
